I was attending a school located in a wide-open flat desert area and located next to a gambling city like Las Vegas. There was lots of new construction going on next to campus. During a lunch break I walked over to take a look. There were new shopping malls, movie theater, dining establishments, other retail stores and business offices. The streets were still dirt and gravel. Some of the larger buildings had weird strange architecture, like concrete walls that were placed atop roofs and were aimed straight up for no functional purpose. The place had a theme park downtown kind of feel. I had to hurry back to campus to the next class which was a math class so I won’t be late for a written test that was scheduled for that day.
I went on a road trip to Sacramento to visit a friend – could be a pen pal or snowboarder person. At a hilly woody area of town I visited a hamburger stand, but instead of hamburgers, they sold BBQ ribs and other BBQ items. There were lots of college students there. They all encourage me to eat there. I ordered one plate of BBQ ribs which looked juicy and tasty and some side items for around $8. I was surprised of the low price for something big and tasty.
I’ve been reading endless speculation about that “Cell Phone Time Traveler” video that was filmed in 1928 which shows a person who appears to be talking into a hand-held device. The clip comes from the “extras” section of a Charlie Chaplin DVD and was shot as part of the behind the scenes of the premiere of Chaplin’s movie, The Circus. A filmmaker posted it on Youtube and claims that the device is a cell phone.
While watching a closeup version of the clip I notice that our mysterious person is in fact holding something, so I made an in-depth examination to see if I can get a better picture of the allege cell phone object:
I had reservations to dine at a fancy upscale restaurant. I was supposed to have a date but I arrived myself. It was daytime, and seemed like it was brunch or late lunch. The place wasn’t too busy. The reservation I had was for the 2-person deal for $49. The place was rather small, like it was a converted house. It was homey, cozy, warm and charming, and the interior decor was a combination of modern/19th century Victorian. I decided to leave and not eat there.
I was onboard a commuter train with friends/classmates. The train was very crowded. At a station it had a mechanical problem – some tubing or cable broke. We got off and went our own way. Some of us got on a large vehicle, like a garbage truck, and rode on its roof as it drove around town going from dumpster to dumpster.
I stepped out into the patio of my apt which faces a courtyard/quad area in the apt complex to get some fresh air. It was early evening, and there were numerous tenants mostly students playing on the lawn. It seems like someone was having an outdoor party. Suddenly a small futuristic helicopter flew by then made a sharp turn and dived toward the quad, swooping by fast and low to the ground, surprising and shocking the people in the quad. Immediately after wards a small 2-person electric vehicle sped by on the sidewalk near my patio. It was closely followed by another electric vehicle with sirens.
It look like two students who were probably drunk were being chased by police. The chase went all over the apt complex. I went out to watch the action. There was another vehicle being persued and more police vehicles all speeding all over the sidewalks. Many other people mostly college students, were watching. The chase finally ended in the breezeway near the rec room, where there were lots of people partying. I was inside the rec room with alot of other students watching through the glass sliding doors as the action came to a close.
I was at a ski resort for a day of snowboarding. At this particular resort I was at there was a special women-only one day workshop/camp taking place somewhere, but I didn’t care because I wasn’t going to participate anyways. I rode down some steep hill sides. The snow was packed and the snow levels were low. There weren’t many other people around. At the bottom of the hill I heard news of a special 1 day pass exchange for another resort for certain people (like employees or members of a club) of which I was qualified. I decided to take advantage of that since it was free. A shuttle bus would take us there then return by the end of the day. It was mid or late morning when it arrived. There was a large group of us going to this other resort and the shuttle ride there was crowded.
